This is one of the medieval castles, situated on about 200 m high hill and surrounded by forest.
Dobrinj is the religious and cultural centre of the north-eastern part of the island and is mentioned in Glagolitic records dating back to 1100. Its rich cultural and ethnographic heritage has been preserved in the handful of museums, collections and galleries that can be visited there.
