Located on the east coast of Punat bay - a natural harbour and shelter for sailing boats.
Punat is considered one of the younger settlements in Krk, although traces of settlement can be found here since prehistoric times. Silent witnesses to that history are the remains of religious sites scattered on the coast of the bay itself. Punat is one of the largest nautical centres in Croatia today, and is also known for its olive growing. From Punat you can visit the nearby islet of Košljun, the pearl of the natural and cultural heritage of this region, by regular lines.
