In Blatna Bay, near Omišalj, are the remains of a late antique building. Although until recently it was believed to be the remains of a church, new research has shown that it is a settlement-type building, that is a house for one or more families. The site was abandoned before the end of the 8th century, and it is worth mentioning that a gold Byzantine coin of Emperor Theodosius II was found in this area.
