The Little Gate (Mala vrata) in the Town of Krk

The Little Gate (Mala vrata) in the Town of Krk

These were originally located in the walls of the bishop's court and represented the southern end of the Kardo (the main communication route in a north-south direction). They were moved during the 14th century due to an additional construction of the bishop's court. There was once a mooring area in front of the Little Gate, which allowed the fishermen to enter the city.
