Island of Prvić

Island of Prvić

A recognisable and unavoidable part of the landscape of the Baška valley.

Located south of Baška, the island of Prvić is both a recognisable and unavoidable part of the landscape of the Baška valley. It is the largest uninhabited island in the Adriatic and a protected botanical and ornithological reserve. Inhabitants of the Baška valley use the island of Prvić to graze sheep and for bee keeping. Its sage flower honey is highly valued for its specific and medicinal composition. There are a dozen beaches on the west side of the island that attract tourists in the summer months.
