Heritage Museum in Baška

Heritage Museum in Baška

TEMPORARILY CLOSED

The museum is located next to Holy Trinity parish church. It has exhibited the artistic and ethnographic treasures of this region, which had been collected and preserved from destruction by the diligent people of Baška.

The museum was opened in 1970 and displays original Baška folk costumes, dishes and many other exhibits that used to be in everyday use. It also hosts a special room dedicated to the Czech doctor, Zdenka Čermakov (1884 - 1968) who came to Baška in 1910 and remained there to live and work. She was the only physician on the island for some time and is buried with her fellow villagers at cemetery in Baška.
